Maubourg / Checked Shetland Tweed

Tweed is one of the reasons we look forward to winter. This sheet, which comes straight from the south of Scotland, is a light herringbone that blends in with the autumnal colours typical of British fabrics, and is enhanced by a window pane, drawn as if in dots.

To add comfort and emphasize its Britishness, we have imagined oppositions in cotton moleskin. A jacket that smells like winter, and that we will never leave.

Weaving in Hawick began centuries ago as a cottage industry using the wool of local sheep, the plentiful supply of water from the River Teviot and, of course, the skills of the craftsmen.

In the late 1800s, with the advent of new dyes and new types of looms, weaving in Hawick became a thriving industry supplying woollen fabrics to many new international markets.

Created in 2017, with a crazy dream, to create their workshop and their brand entirely made in France. The craft industry offers us possibilities that the large-scale distribution does not have, and notably quality. Production is controlled from start to finish. This allows us to offer products of incomparable quality.

Dry cleaning is highly recommended for the wool product. However, it should not be done often: only once a year, or even less! A simple steam ironing at home or at the dry cleaner’s is enough in most cases to remove odors, bacteria and to give the jacket a good look.
